9"x12" horizontal oil on linen mounted to 1/8" panel.  I painted this mesmerizing sunflower patch at a local farm.   I set up my easel on an August day and had a ball painting in the beautiful weather.  I was drawn to the purple shadows from the hedge on the other side of the path and the complement of the yellow sunflower faces.  Beautiful!
